Objective
The objective of this policy is to provide guidance to Employees who receive gratuitous tips from members and guests of Strathfield Sports whilst performing their duties.
Responsibilities
Operation Manager
- To bank the tips accordingly into an account for end of year distribution.
- Calculate the pro rata of all employees and distribute to staff accordingly.
Manager/Supervisor
- To assist in the administration and implementation of this Policy.
- Manage instances where this Policy has not been adhered to.
- Monitor and assist Employee’s trade from coins to note.
Employees
- Comply with the Employee Tip policy.
- Making sure that only Manager/Supervisor assist in the trade.
Guidelines
- Employees are not permitted to cash in their own tips
- Employees should ensure that tips are only cashed in at the completion of their shift or the commencement of a break.
- Operation Manager is to bank the Tip jar accordingly to an account for distribution at end of year.
- Tip jar will be counted at the end of the year and distributed to staff accordingly to their pro rata shift.
- If there is an employee termination, it is up to the General Manager to calculate the pro rata on hours work and pay out accordingly.
Breach of Policy
Strathfield Sports Club has an obligation to consistently apply and enforce this policy. Employee must understand and comply with this policy.
Any employee who breaches this policy shall be subject to counselling, training, and/or disciplinary action, which may include termination of employment.

Scope
