Objective
This policy provides employees and Managers/Supervisors with information and guidelines regarding the recruitment, selection and promotion of employees.
Responsibilities
General Manager
- Co-ordinating the approvals for recruitment when the Recruitment Requisition is received from the Department Manager.
- Manage and facilitate the recruitment cycle from the time approval is gained until the commencement of the candidate.
- Ensuring compliance with all legislative requirements.
Management
- Where necessary Review applications in a timely manner and provide feedback to General Manager
- Participate in recruitment processes such as short listing, phone screening and interviews.
Employees
- Following the necessary policies and procedures to apply for positions.
Procedures
Internal and External Recruitment and Selection
The Club will usually advertise vacant and newly created positions to current employees by posting them on the noticeboard located in the Duty Manager Office. However, the Club reserves the right to externally advertise a vacant or newly created position.
Current employees who would like to apply for the role as advertised on the DM notice board or online (through seek.com.au or whitenow.com.au) is to speak to the general manager directly.
Employees are encouraged to apply online for any vacancy listed on DM notice board or online (through seek.com.au or whitenow.com.au). Only completed applications will be considered against criteria outlined in the advert or listed in the position description.
Breach of Policy
Strathfield Sports Club has an obligation to consistently apply and enforce this policy. Employee must understand and comply with this policy.
Any employee who breaches this policy shall be subject to counselling, training, and/or disciplinary action, which may include termination of employment.
